Quantum Rush graphics: a question of taste and hardware

Hello pilots,

Thank you for all the feedback regarding the graphics of Quantum Rush!

Having so much feedback from the community is wonderful, even when it differs from our own opinion. However, most importantly, we want the game to appeal to you, the players.

Interpreting your feedback is a difficult task, because opinions differ greatly. Some of you really like the graphics and have told us that the racers and race tracks look great and that the overall quality of the graphics is absolutely satisfactory. We are very happy to hear this kind of feedback, but we don’t want to ignore those of you that have told us that the graphics fall short of your expectations.

First of all, we would like to point out that the graphic quality settings can be adjusted. Open the main menu with F1 – settings – graphics. We are mentioning this, because we have learned that some of those who complained about poor graphics didn’t realize these settings can be changed even when they have a powerful PC.

In the beginning, our early beta testers had very poor graphics, because the default graphics setting was set at “low”. If you installed Quantum Rush more recently, you will find that the default setting is now set at “medium”. Additionally, selecting the “high” setting will significantly improve the overall graphics quality further.

If you haven’t adjusted these settings yet, please make sure your PC can perform well at these higher settings. Nonetheless, even with the high graphics settings Quantum Rush doesn’t compare to a brand new console title. One reason for that is that we didn’t want to set the hardware requirements too high, because that would have made it difficult for all those with older or cheaper PCs to enjoy the game.

However, this does not mean that Quantum Rush won’t receive further visual upgrades. Just like the last patch, the next patch will also include significant upgrades to the tracks. And if you pay close attention you will also notice that the graphical look of the racers has also been improved.

We sincerely thank you for your attention and, like always, we hope you have fun on the race tracks!

The Quantum Rush Team
