Today, we would like to share with you what we are working on regarding the graphical user interface of Quantum Rush.
As we have announced recently, we are going to introduce changes to the research interface based on your feedback. This integral part of the game was not intuitive enough and so we are making the necessary amendments. Thanks again for making us aware of this!
Some of these improvements have already been implemented and are ready to go online with the next patch.
In the attribute window, you will see a positive or negative number indicating the exact difference between the part you are looking at and the part used for the comparison. Also, the name of the part used for the comparison is now displayed.
Additionally, some attributes are now indicated by more comprehensible values to make it easier to understand their significance.
The different states an element of a research tree can have (e.g. researchable, researched, locked) are now displayed in a more intuitive way, as you can see in the image below.
1 – locked | 2 – researchable | 3 – research in process | 4 – researched | 5 – bought / owned
And, of course, there is more to come. We are continuously working to improve the various graphical interfaces and will continue to do so after the next patch. For example, we plan to add more explanatory tooltips. In the research trees, they will explain which icon stands for which racer part. Also, we will make it possible to purchase racers and racer parts directly through the research interface.
While part of the team is working on these improvements to the research interface, others are investing time into a revision of the racer customisation interface, with the goal of making that interface more user-friendly and intuitive. As for the leaderboards, we will implement a “loading” spinner, as suggested by some of you, to indicate that the leaderboard data is being sent. Additionally, we will make some improvements to the sorting.
We are excited to see how you like the interface upgrades and looking forward to your feedback after the next patch.
Thank you for your attention and – as always- have fun on the race tracks!
The Quantum Rush Team
