The Future Racer Quantum Rush: Champions comes to Xbox One

GameArt Studio today announced the release of the action-loaded future racer Quantum Rush: Champions on Xbox One on June 19th

Quantum Rush: Champions is a classic action-packed futuristic racing game for the Xbox One all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft. As this special genre has been neglected for far too long, the developers from GameArt Studio decided to move forward with Quantum Rush: Champions to take over.

Quantum Rush: Champions has been designed as an offline single player game featuring a career mode with sophisticated campaigns containing various trials and boss fights. On 14 gigantic futuristic race tracks set on earth and in space players have to overcome countless trials and beat merciless AI pilots to unlock upgrades, new racers and new tracks. Additionally, an arcade mode allows players to create and race all new custom trials.

Quantum Rush: Champions will be available on Xbox One on June 19th via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program.

Balancing Update

Hello Pilots!

We’ve toiled, refined and tuned the balancing for you!

We hope you will like the changes which went online with the update of today.

Balancing of particular pickups:

  • the speed of the pickups “Bodyslam”, “Charge Bolt” and of some primary weapons projectiles was increased by 10% on tiers 5 to 7
  • the effective duration of the pickups “Flash Bang” and “Stasis Sphere” was reduced
  • the damage of the pickups “Mine” and “Lock-On Missile” was reduced
  • the effective range and damage of the pickup “Roommaker” was increased

Campaign balancing:

  • many challenges in the basic campaigns, especially in the campaign “Buccaneer Blasters” were rebalanced
  • some challenges in the DLC campaign “Jump Start Tournament” were improved, especially “Time Trial” and “Hit the Target” challenges present a fairer difficutly


  • the content of pickup pads was changed so that player now find alternatives to the pickups “Smoke Screen” and “Flash Bang” more often
  • more pickups were placed on the race track “Aquarii Atoll”
  • damage of all beam weapons was increased by 10%

Hello pilots,

you might already have noticed the new Steam achievements in Quantum Rush Champions, but today we have another feature to announce:

The Steam trading cards.

The total of 10 Quantum Rush: Champions trading cards will feature motives and exclusive concept arts from the game.

How do Steam trading cards work?

You can get the cards by playing the game and trading or purchasing them on the community market. The set contains 10 cards, which can be converted into rewards.

You will receive the following rewards:

  • one of 5 Quantum Rush: Champions backgrounds for your Steam profile
  • one of 5 exclusive emoticons for the Steam chat and the forums
  • and 100 EXP for your Steam account

One set can be collected and converted up to 5 times – furthermore there will be one rare set which can only be converted one time.

By the way: Steam is currently running a special promotion. Every player who converts a set gets a’2014 Holiday Sale Trading Card’ additionally to the above mentioned rewards.

New patch brings Steam Achievements and more

Hello Pilots,

With the patch of today Quantum Rush: Champions received the long awaited Steam Achievements. Now you can compare yourself to all other pilots on Steam!

Quantum Rush Champions
Of course there were other changes and improvements as well, they are listed below:


  • 34 Steam Achievements are now available!
  • the personal statistics and achievements were completed by information boxes and help texts
  • we added more visual feedback during a races
  • in Arcade mode, for the game mode Courier you can configure the speed and steering handicap per package collected


  • the finishing times of all Time Trial races were improved
  • the finishing times of some Hit the Target races were improved
  • the tier 5 boss adversary of the campaign Macrostellar Warfare does not give the victory away to his challenger so easily!

Race tracks

  • the track „Adrenaline Terminal“ is now already available in Arcade mode in tier 1
  • on the race track Asteroid Belt a problem with respawn before finish line was fixed
  • there is an achievement available for the race track Deuterium Rally
  • on the race track Deuterium Rally an invisible hole was closed in the track walls
  • on the race track Ice Cluster appear in the game mode Hit the Target targets no longer appear in objects and obstacles
  • the race track Ice cluster is now available in Arcade mode
  • the entrance to the tube sector in backwards direction of the race track Metro Sykblitz is now better raceable
  • the effect of a booster pad on the track Novasea Airstrip was normalized
  • on the race track Novasea Airstrip in game mode Hit the Target a target was removed that was unreachable behind a stone
  • the energy pads on the race track Twilight Grounds react now to energy even if you don’t cross them in the mid of the energy charging track

General bug fixes

  • the target requirements for tier 6 boss adversary of the campaign Buccaneer Blasters was fixed
  • 2 broken Defeat the Enemy challenges in Buccaneer Blasters now work
  • the personal statistics evaluate the 3 top placements in game mode Against the Clock
  • the challenges for tier 7 boss adversary in campaign Macrostellar Warfare can be unlocked now
  • the Defeat all Boss Adversaries Achievement can now be unlocked

Quantum Rush Online and Quantum Rush: Champions become one

Hello Pilots!

As you know the full version of Quantum Rush: Champions is available on Steam since last week, and we hope you like the new content!

Many of you gave us the feedback that you wish for multiplayer content in Quantum Rush: Champions. Besides that, we’d like to offer players internationally a stable multiplayer experience. In view of this, Quantum Rush Online had some greater shortcomings due to servers being placed in Germany.

We thought long about it and made the decision to offer the multiplayer elements of Quantum Rush Online in the medium term to the player community as part of Quantum Rush: Champions.

This means that Quantum Rush Online, in its present form, will not be continued, to allow us to concentrate all resource and advance the further development of Quantum Rush: Champions in an optimal manner.

Quantum Rush Online is thus discontinued.

Quantum Rush: Champions – Patch notes Release

Hello Pilots!

Waiting is over! As by today you can download the full version of Quantum Rush: Champions on Steam. Compared to the Early Access version many things have changed: Lots of new content have been added and of course many bugs have been fixed.


What exactly was added and which bugs were fixed you can read in our patch notes below:

New content


  • 3 new individual campaigns – one per racer manufacturer
  • these campaigns contain for the first time tiers 6 and 7 and their 6 racers, also available for the first time (2 per manufacturer) and countless functional and optical unlocks
  • many new challenges
  • 2 new game modes: Defeat the Enemy and Courier
  • 7 new boss challenges
  • 5 new race tracks: Now you can choose between a total of 14 different race tracks.
  • through progress in the new campaigns you can unlock various skins for the racers

Profile & personal statistics

  • now you can create, save and load several profiles
  • through the new menu point “Profile” you can view comprehensive personal statistics and achievements
  • over 90 achievements have been added

  • navigation with menu grids was optimized
  • menu grids with much content now have several pages
  • a new score window was added which shows better information during races without adversaries


  • for all racers now skins can be unlocked

Race tracks

  • the energy generation fields on all race tracks were balanced again to guarantee a steady energy delivery
  • on all race tracks the pickup “Stasisphere” has been added
  • now on all race tracks a “Hit the Target” configuration is available
  • some race tracks were optimized for races on higher tiers. Resets or similar problems should no longer arise

Bug fixes

  • keyboard settings are no longer reset when restarting the game
  • the time for the fastest round is now tracked during the race
  • racer respawn is now always correctly set up when the race is started again
  • the pickup “Bodyslam” now works more reliably
  • various game pad input problems were fixed
  • it is no longer possible in the game mode “Hit the Target” to go backwards through targets to get bonus time

Quantum Rush: Champions – Early Access Update

Hello Pilots,

As we announced last week, today we have a really big update for you! This update contains mostly new content for the campaign, new racers, new challenge-types and foremost the Arcade mode! Besides that, we have made Quantum Rush Champions now available in Spanish, Italian and French.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your great feedback! It matters to us and that’s why we fulfilled your wish and made all menus gamepad compatible and fixed most of the bugs you reported.

1. Extended campaigns

The exclusive Early Access campaign „Jump Start Tournaments“ gets 2 new tiers. These contain many new challenges, 2 brand new challenge types and 2 merciless boss fights.

To unlock tier 4 you also have to win a new boss fight in tier 3 of this campaign.

1.1 New tiers

With the new tiers, for each manufacturer a player now gets tier 4 and tier 5 racers including parts which can be unlocked.

1.2 New challenge types

The 2 new challenge types “Time Trial” and “Hit the Target“ are now available!

In Time Trial the player has to perform a solo race with 3 laps and beat the best time.

In Hit the Target the player has to perform one lap only, but he also has to race through certain targets to avoid penalty seconds.

1.3 New race track

Together with the new tiers a new race track becomes available, the mountain track “Deuterium Rally“!

In this thrilling race down the slopes of a mountain players have to get out the most of the many pickups and boosters placed right at the edge of the cliffs without loosing the ground under their feet!

1.4 Degree of difficulty & new NPC opponents

The artificial intelligence of the NPC opponents has been improved. Now they act smarter and are no longer such an easy target for experienced players!

Consequently, the degree of difficulty of all challenges has been adjusted in such a way that both new players and professionals will have a new and motivating gaming experience !

2. Arcade mode

The Arcade mode is now available!

It allows players to configure and drive races and challenges freely. They have various options which allow them to imitate the races of a campaign and to create new kinds of challenges by their own.

Some options such as choice of race track and choice of glider are restricted at start and are unlocked through mastering of challenges.
The Arcade mode will get some new options in the near future.

3. Gamepad support

All menus now support gamepad control!

We listened to the feedback from the players and our plan to make Quantum Rush: Champions fully compatible to gamepad was carried through. All menus now are fully controllable with the gamepad.

We will work on the controls in future as well and improve them where possible!

4. New languages available

Quantum Rush: Champions can now be played in Spanish, Italian and French. You can select the language in the game options in your Steam library.

5. Other changes

The Arcade mode is now available.

  • the tracks Novasea Canyon, Solarstorm Coast and Turbonetic Grounds are now available as a standard and more tracks can be unlocked in the campaign
  • the degrees of NPC difficulties “Easy”, “Medium”, “Hard” and “Nightmare” are now available
  • all settings related to change-type are now available
  • respawn limit for players and NPCs have been added to the game


  • in Racer Customization you can see an overview of the racer properties
  • in Customization you can see 3D models of parts

Bug fixes

  • racers no longer get stuck with their front in narrow corners of the track
  • sorting order of participants in the placements window of game mode “Death Match” now works properly
  • the game no longer freezes for a second on use of automatic primary weapon
  • exploding racers now cause a backwards shock
  • the property “Armor Strength” of racer shields is no longer converted to ‘MJ’
  • Colors are unlocked for all racers on winning a challenge
  • racers no longer move their air brakes on change of parts
  • some defective single shot guns of tier 3 racers have been removed, as they caused problems in racer display
  • loading speed of an engine that could be unlocked with Nitroid tier 3 – Vulture was set to normal

Quantum Rush: Champions – New Video explains racer properties

Auriga, Kite and Clipper, these are the names of the tier 1 racers in Quantum Rush: Champions. Each of these racers has different strengths and weaknesses.

The following overview shows strengths and weaknesses the racers have:

Manufacturer: Ion Energy Systems

+ High energy capacity
+ High end speed
–  Slow acceleration
–  Poor armor

Tier 1 racer: Auriga

If the energy of this racer is used up, it causes an electromagnetic pulse that disables the weapon systems of racers nearby.

Manufacturer: Nitroid Racing

+ High acceleration
+ Strong internal booster
+ Heat management
–  Low energy capacity
–  Weak shields
–  Slow steering

Tier 1 racer: Kite

The systems of this racer keep on running even if it overheats. This way it can generate more heat and go to the extremes. However, if it becomes too hot it explodes.

Manufacturer: Nanofabric Motorworks

+ High resistance
+ Good steering
–  Average speed
–  Average acceleration

Tier 1 racer: Clipper

This racer is difficult to lock on with target lock-on weapons. It can use various pickup weapons more effectively.
